CPMP successfully hosted its Annual Career Day seminar on July 30th. Over 50 members and non-members attends the session, 3 speakers shared their career journey and life experience, as well as tools and tips on how to further advance their career and seize new opportunities for future.
Bess Song, with 20 years experiences in Project Management and 9 years in employment consulting, shared her insight on the importance of knowing yourself. As a starting point, you shall always find the purpose that fulfils you as a professional. She pointed out that setting life/career goals and networking are essential to career success as well.
Sandra Zoratti, Associate Vice President at TD Bank Group, with 20 years corporate experiences in the banking system, provided a unique point of view on key capabilities in different career stages – the definition of competency gradually shifts from individual-focused to team-nurturing as people make progress in their career. She then shared a useful tool to develop life goals and stay on track.
Aneela Zaib, Founder and CEO of emergiTEL, a leading recruitment agency in the telecommunications and IT industries, has tons of tips on job searching, resume writing and interview questions. She offered valuable advice, from a hiring manager’s perspective, to job seekers on how to stand out from the crowd and land their dream job.

After the seminar, many participants stayed to network with the speakers, asked questions and visited the recruiting booth of emergiTEL.
